The codes available within the source system generally will not be the same as the codes required for reporting to regulatory authorities for FATCA and CRS Compliance. Therefore, a data mapping process is necessary to convert the codes from the source systems to the statement codes. This mapping is facilitated by maintaining a mapping table within the application. Whenever a code from the source system is not mapped to the statement code, users can utilize the data mapping functionality to ensure accurate data reporting to regulators.

Initial Data Mapping is typically performed in consultation with the RFI (Reporting Financial Institution) for all available codes under different Master Data.
