Citizenship Amendment Act

The CAA was aimed to grant citizenship to “illegal migrants” belonging to persecuted members of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Paris and Christian communities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Pakistan who entered India on or before December 31, 2014.
